Shaped like a compass, you can swivel the arm 360º and lean it 20º in 4 positions. The graceful, thin steel body leads your eye to the generous, sculptural shade, which provides a beautiful wide wash of light.
From the designers: “As an admirer of Alexander Calder, in 1951 Schottlander created the Mantis series. Like an acrobat suspended in midair, the shade is made from aluminium using spinning and chasing techniques — to which he brought his sculptor’s eye to create a helical movement.”
