Your study is your work partner. This is a space you go to focus, to concentrate and to do your best work. The lighting in your study ought to reflect your personal style - bold, subtle, playful. Usually this room is on the smaller side, only requiring a few key lighting fixtures, such as a desk lamp, a few downlights or a ceiling light and a wall light or two. Best to consider the desk, the doorway, windows and any built in furniture prior to placing your lighting.

Top Tip: Put your wall lights and ceiling lighting (including downlights or spots) on different circuits. If you're working in the evening, you may only want your wall lights and desk light on, not daytime brightness from downlights.
