Step lights are such a charming way to light a space. Correction, step lights don't light up rooms but they do provide very useful points of light for navigating rooms and stairs. Especially useful for steps (as in the name). The placement of step lights takes a bit of thought and discussion, as does how many you might need. Most step lights are recessed into the wall, which also takes a bit of planning, but some are surface mounted, if you are okay with the protrusion. There are indoor and outdoor step lights. Top Tip: The higher you place step lights, the wider the beam spread you'll get.
