Utility rooms benefit from spot lights for a couple of reasons. You can aim light where needed, such as work surfaces and doorways and they are easy to install, which is great in a (typically) small space. They also look modern and fresh. 

Top Tip: Get a light directly over your sink and work tops, not behind you or you may cast shadow where you need it to be bright and light.
