Home cinema downlights are a great way to light home cinemas, even though I'm not usually a fan of using downlights to light a relaxing room. Downlights are good in home cinemas because they stay out of the way of the projector and they can be strategically placed to avoid speakers in the ceiling. Look for downlights that have black or bronze baffles to absorb glare.

Top Tip: If you only want a few downlights, consider a row in front of the screen, which looks quite effective when needed for cleaning purposes because the light bounces off the screen back into the room.
