Outdoor spot lights are a great way to provide useful light without the glare you may get from recessed downlights. They add a bit of style and flair to a fairly functional lighting need. There are a few to choose from - make a statement by choosing a contrasting finish (such a black spot lights for a white rendered porch cover) or make them blend in by matching materials as closely and sympathetically as possible. There's even a spot light that comes in concrete, great for houses with natural materials. 

Top Tip: Make sure your spot light clears any doors that may swing open and hit it. 

Top Tip 2: Choose to place 1 metre apart (similar to downlights) or space according to the width of the windows for a more tailored look.
